Co-operation with France

Bilateral political relationships between Estonia and France have been good and traditionally tight. One of the priorities of the Ministry of Agriculture in the cooperation with France has been the development of the dairy industry – planning of investments, the sertification of milk control laboratories and quality control.

In 1996, the Phare project “Aid to the Estonian dairy industry, to speed up the integration to the European Union” was carried out. Over the years, many experts from France have visited Estonia and also vice-versa. Estonian entrepreneurs have been more and more represented at the Salon International de l’Agriculture exhibition and Salon International de l'Agroalimentaire International exhibition. Both of the exhibitions are also regularry visited by the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Estonia.
