Estonia and Turkey develop agricultural cooperation

On Monday, July 6, the Minister of Agriculture of Estonia, Helir-Valdor Seeder and the Minister of Turkey, H.E. Mehmet Mehdi Eker are meeting with the purpose to promote communication between the countries and sign a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding on agriculture.



In the framework of the memorandum, cooperation is wished to be developed and experts exchanged in the fields of plant production, animal farming and also research. There is a plan to promote joint agricultural enterprises between the private sectors of the countries.


The Turkish Minister of Agriculture is on a visit to Estonia from 4th to 7th July. In course of the visit, the delegation will visit the Estonian Animal Breeders Association, Pakar Ltd, 25. Song Celebration and the Estonian Open Air Museum. In addition to the Estonian minister and officials, the Turkish minister will also meet with the Chairman of the Rural Affairs Committee of the Riigikogu, Kalev Kotkas.


The Estonian and Turkish ministers will give a press conference on Monday, July 6, at 11 am.
